Projects with Schools

November 2020 – Green Leaves

We are excited to announce that Green Leaves is now open for school booking for its performances in November 2020.

Green Leaves is the first T:>Works production that combines aerial silks and theatre. It explores the story of Eve and her struggle to find self and meaning in life. Peppered with symbolism and literary tropes, it provides an opportunity to encourage a discussion for teachers and students.

The performance is twinned with an on-site post-show dialogue with the artist. We will also be providing teachers with follow-up notes to engage with students in the classrooms.

Teachers may choose between two options:

Green Leaves (2020)

Option 1
2-6 November 2020
Excursion performance at T:>Works. Under the Arts Excursion scheme, you and your students will be able to experience Green Leaves in a theatre setting

Option 2
9-13 November 2020
School tour performance, booking is for afternoon performances only

Strict social distancing measures will be implemented for performance at T:>Works. For more information and bookings please contact Kai at kairuo.tworks@gmail.com

July 2020 – N.O.W. Engagement

In the wake of COVID 19 and stricter safe distancing measures, Festival of Women: N.O.W. – not ordinary work will be transported into the digital world! The festival will not be a digitalised performance festival, embracing the limits of this quarantine of consumption and gathering by experimenting with different and accessible ways in which performance can be engaged and connected with.

To continue with our engagement programmes with students and teachers, we will be offering free Zoom lectures for students with N.O.W.’s artistic director Noorlinah Mohammed to talk about curating for a festival amidst these uncertain times. Additionally, all N.O.W.’s programme will be available online for free, which students and teachers will be able to attend at home as part of their home-based learning programme.Donations are welcome to support N.O.W. and the creation of original work.

Afternoon Tea with Teachers at T:>Works

In view of the recent development and keeping in mind the safety and well-being of everyone, T:>Works will not proceed with the Afternoon Tea scheduled for 20 February 2020, 3pm at 72-13.

In its place, the planned discussions intended for the Afternoon Tea will be archived as digital files and placed on this page once it is available.

We firmly believe, with support, care and civic responsibility, we can overcome the challenging times ahead. We wish you, your colleagues, students and your loved one safe and healthy days ahead.

If you would like to receive information on T:>Works continued programmes for the remainder of 2020, please contact Kai at kairuo.tworks@gmail.com.
